Understanding Motion

When body base comes in to contact with support, thrust, motion, air element (vayo phothabba), body consciousness arises.

Being conscious of support, thrust, motion is mind.

Body base and support, thrust, motion is matter.

Mind and matter then arise.

The supportive air element enables the body to sit or stand upright.

Thrusting air element enables the body to stand up or push or pull things.

Motion air element enables the body to move or wave or move about.

When there is paralysis, modern medicinal professionals say the brain is damaged.

According to the Buddha, the air element has broken down.
